Certificate of Occupancy
This certificate confirms that your space complies with all relevant codes and is safe for occupancy. To obtain a Certificate of Occupancy:
- Ensure all previous inspections and approvals are complete.
- Submit an application for a Certificate of Occupancy (COO) to the City of Omaha Planning Department via the Accela Citizen Access Platform. Create a profile and "Create an Application."
- Submitting your COO application automatically schedules a final inspection of the premises.
- Address any issues identified during the inspection.
- Once approved and received, prominently display your Certificate of Occupancy.
