Certificate of Occupancy

This certificate confirms that your space complies with all relevant codes and is safe for occupancy. To obtain a Certificate of Occupancy:

  • Ensure all previous inspections and approvals are complete.
  • Submit an application for a Certificate of Occupancy to the City of Omaha Planning Department.

    After filling out the HTML version of the application, press Ctrl + Shift + P (or Cmd + Shift + P on Mac) to open the print dialog in your browser and save it as a PDF.

  • Schedule a final inspection of the premises.
  • Address any issues identified during the inspection.
  • Receive and prominently display your Certificate of Occupancy.
